Apartment, Townhome and High-Rise Moves
Vertical moving is its own skill, and Space City Movers has it dialed in. We move studios in the suburbs, walk-ups in Channelview, three-story townhomes in the Heights, and high-rise condos in midtown and downtown Houston. Every one starts with our own crew and our own truck — never a broker passing your move down a chain — and every one comes with a flat written price so the building’s rules never become your surprise.
From Baytown to Kingwood, Greater Houston movers turns the whole job into one flat figure before move day and stands behind it, with nothing extra waiting at the end.
We Speak Building Management
Towers and managed communities don’t just let a truck roll up. They want a certificate of insurance naming the property and management company, a reserved service elevator, a booked loading dock and a strict move window. Our office manager Brooke Hammond handles all of it before move day — the COI written exactly how your building wants it, the elevator and dock reserved, the pads ready for the common areas. By the time the crew arrives, the paperwork is already on file with the front desk.
Stairs, Tight Turns and Houston Humidity
Plenty of Greater Houston units have no elevator at all. Heights bungalows carved into apartments, three-story townhomes off Washington Avenue, and older garden complexes mean real stair work. Shawn Kowalski’s crews bring stair-climbing dollies, shoulder straps and the extra hands a top-floor carry needs, and we start early so nobody’s hauling a sofa up three flights in the worst of the afternoon heat.
Straightforward Apartment Pricing
An apartment flat rate opens at $389 for a studio or one-bedroom and rises with the size of the unit and the number of stairs — and yes, the dock window, elevator pads and COI are baked in, not surprises. Prefer hourly? Two movers and a truck run $185 an hour, three run $255, with the first hour never padded. A $105 deposit holds your slot and credits to the balance. Your goods carry the 60-cents-per-pound released-value standard, full-value protection is available, and every move is covered up to $1,000,000 in cargo per shipment.

How we land on the price
It begins with a short walkthrough or video survey, and off your actual inventory we set one flat Greater Houston rate — no hourly meter hiding anywhere inside it. Whatever that quote reads is the whole price, with nothing tacked on once the truck is loaded or a storm slides in off the Gulf and shifts the date.
