Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Space City Movers website and the moving services we provide as a licensed Texas (TxDMV) and USDOT/MC household-goods mover based in Dayton, Texas. By requesting a quote, booking a move, or using this website, you agree to these terms.
Quotes and Estimates
Quotes we provide are based on the information you give us about your home, inventory, access, and destination. A flat-rate quote is honored as written so long as the actual move matches what was described. If the inventory, access, or scope changes materially on move day, the price may be adjusted, and we will discuss any change with you before proceeding.
Booking and Deposits
A deposit of $105 reserves your move date and is credited to your final bill. Deposits hold a specific date and crew, so cancellations or reschedules with short notice may affect the deposit. We will always work with you in good faith on timing, particularly when severe weather or a Gulf storm forces a change.
Payment
Payment for completed services is due upon delivery unless other arrangements are made in writing in advance. Local services may be billed at a flat rate or at hourly rates as quoted, and long-distance moves are billed at the agreed flat-rate price.
Liability and Coverage
Our standard liability is released value at $0.60 per pound per article, as set by federal regulation. Full-value protection is available as an upgrade, and we maintain cargo coverage of up to $1,000,000 per shipment. Claims must be submitted in writing within the time frame required by applicable regulations.
Limitations
We are not liable for delays or losses caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, flooding, road closures, or acts of God. We do not transport hazardous materials, perishables, or items prohibited by law. This website is provided as is, and we make no warranties about its accuracy or availability. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
